SOCIAL RESEARCH
Research is composed of two words ‘re’ and ‘search’, which means to search again, or to search for new facts or to modify older ones in any branch of knowledge. Social research is general terms, is a planned effort to find out facts and to verify them.
Definition of Social Research
1. According to P. V. Young, “We may define social research as the systematic method of discovering new facts of verifying old facts, their sequences, inter-relationships, causal explanations and the natural laws which govern them.”
2. According to Wallace and Wallace, “Sociological research refers to the structural observation of social behaviour.”
